We have a location and possible dates

After much discussion we picked Fort Worden in Washington. The down side is that I can not schedule more than a year in advance. I am looking at 29 June - 1 July; 20 - 23 July; or 27- 30 July. I will try to schedule in June, 2011.

Check it out. http://www.parks.wa.gov/fortworden/

They also have camping sites if anyone would like to do that.

In the meantime please spread the word. Contact me if you have any questions and to let me know if you are interested. I will need a more accurate number when I do make the initial reservation.

So far the people who are interested in attending are (I am using old names for identification purposes only and I have not included significant others) Rob, Jody Ramer; Sher, Jeri, Gwenda Emerick, Don & John Fletcher; Paul Nelson; Debbie, Barbara Donaldson; Douglass, Jonathon Seaton; and Leslie, Laura Servid. There are a lot more people who could be attending. Some of your siblings have not contacted me. So far we have a great group.

Dates feed back

I have not seen any comments about the date possibilities. If it feels too far in advance to decide on a date then we could go with Oak Ridge - has a lot more flexibility.
1. OR - July 26-29, 2012
2. WA - Jun 22-25, July 6-9 or Aug 9-12, 2012
3. MN Clearwater - June 1-4 or Jun 8-10, 2012
4. MN Oak Ridge - flexible dates

To sweeten the Oregon option. Though we can't cook there is a very good Indian restaurant not far from Menucha that has a fabulous buffet both lunch and dinner we could do one meal there. Either Sunday after check out - it is on the way to the airport, or one of the evenings.

I am sure that Minneapolis must have an Indian restaurant we could go to for one meal.

Reunion Ideas

I have started contacting people to find if there is any interest in attending a reunion of our "Presby" family from Miraj, Wanlesswadi, Sangli, Vengurla, Kolhapur. There seems to be some interest. So the next big hurdle is the where and when. I am thinking Summer of 2012.

1. Menucha Retreat and Conference Center, Portland, OR - About $200/person. This would include meals. We would not be able to do any cooking. The only available date for 2012 is July 26-29. Thurs - Sunday. It is close to the airport.

2. Fort Worden, Olympic peninsula, WA. About $220/person if we have all meals with them. The "houses' we rent all have kitchens so we could do some of our own cooking. Available June 22-25, July 6-9, or Aug 9-12. Not very convenient to the airport.

3. Clearwater Forest, Deerwood, MN - more rustic dorm type rooms shared bathroom. Pay by the building. We would do our out cooking. Only available weekends are June 1-4 and June 8-10. About 2 hours away from the airport. Cheapest choice. About $50 and then however we figure meal.

4.Oak Ridge MN more like a hotel. The food catered. Only pay for the meals we eat. But no place to cook. Convenient to airport. About $109 per double room and then food on top of that.

So these are some ideas. I will continue to research places. Barbara
